Holiday suggestions for travelling with a 1yr old baby

Postby sophieb » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:54 pm

Hi, My husband and I are trying to sort our big holiday this year and our usual travel agent doesn't have much experience of arranging holidays for couples with babies so hasn't been much help. We're thinking of Dubai / UAE in October, simply because we'll combine it with visiting friends in the area. But we have NO idea what kind of hotels would work with a 1-yr old in tow! We usually stay in the desert resorts in a villa with our own pool, but not sure how practical that would be as little one will be on the move by then. Does anyone have any suggestions, or recommendations of places they've been?

We recently returned from oman...was amazing and stayed at al bustan hotel. They hAve babysitters you can use during the day whilst you sit by the pool.

We met a lovely couple who were also there with same age kids (6 months and 3) and they were raving about one and only royal mirage in Dubai...so that's where we are hoping to go to next.

In oman the shangri la is really child friendly and we went to see it...much preferred the al bustan!

Contact neill@diveinstyle.com he is soooo helpful!

Hi,
We went to Dubai last Jan with our two and a half years old daughter and a four months old son. We stayed at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on the Palm and it was fantastic. Very child friendly hotel, lovely pool and a little kids pool with loads of lawns for crawling if you don't fancy the beach and the sand. All the restaurants have high chairs and are very accommodating with food for toddlers/kids. We ate out every night with both of the children (obviously the baby wasn't eating...). They also have a kids club with various activities for all ages. Also the transfer from the airport to the hotel is very easy.
And the Spa is the best in Dubai!
Hope this helps.

We have a few hotels in Dubai/UAE already on our website but we can book others. We have loads of baby-friendly and child-friendly suggestions worldwide too. Do please get in touch and let me know if I can help. We specialise in luxury baby and child friendly travel.
