Theatrebugs summer club

Postby Tils1 » Wed May 01, 2013 9:43 am

Has anybody had any experience of this and is it any good? Are the staff ratios good especially for the 3 / 4 year olds and are they little ones kept separate from the older ones?

Would love to hear views on this and also any other summer camp type activities!

Many thanks

My daughter (4 next week) did the Easter Theatrebugs club, and LOVED it. She did it at the St Luke's venue.

The staff ratio was fine, I think there were 3 or 4 adults for approx 18 kids. They kept them children all together in one group, but took the older ones into a separate corner for a small part of the time to do slightly more complex things than the little ones.

They provide a snack and drink, and send an email each day saying what they've done that day which is nice.

At the end of the 3 days (5 for Summer) they put on a show, which was brilliant. I thought they'd managed to put on something fantastic in only 3 days.

We'd book on to the Summer one without a doubt-but annoyingly we can't do the dates they've organised.

My daughter is doing a week of Fancy Footwork ballet Summer School, (hasn't done it before so can't feedback-yet!).

She's also done lots of Playball camps which I would highly recommend-she absolutely loves these, the staff (especially Gavin, Nataly, Kim and Jarrod) are amazing, and it's very well organised...

I'm looking into Activ camp (but they have to be 4) which I've heard good things about too.

Other stuff she's done in the holidays are Art Barn and Artful Toddler both of which have both been good- not sure if they are doing anything over the Summer or not.

I've also heard (but never tried) good things about Youngstars sports camps.

Hope that helps.
