My in laws are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in August and are looking for a lunch venue (preferably with a private room) for 15-20 people. Does anyone have any ideas, happy to travel more into London?

What about the Petersham Hotel in Richmond?? They have a wonderful restaurant and a private room off it.... not sure how many it sits, but the food is fabulous and a lovely place for lunch...

I think the Dysart has a private dining area upstairs. The food is lovely

We went to the River Cafe in Hammersmith last year for a 40th birthday Sunday lunch. They had a great private room - it was a bit of a squeeze for us (we were probably around 25 people), so would be pretty good for you. The room had doors that open up on to the terrace, which could be great in August.

Food of course was fabulous, and atmosphere nice and relaxed - would thoroughly recommend it!
