Friends are coming over on Saturday and they have just told me that their little one has chicken pox (the spots appeared today). They don't seem too fussed regarding the contagiousness of it... if the spots appeared today will their little one no longer be contagious by Saturday? Other than my kids catching it (which I appreciate they will do in time), my big concern is that my sister is heavily pregnant. If my kids catch it, can they pass it on to the unborn child??
Any thoughts / help would be much appreciated...

And if you think they shouldn't come - how do i break the news??

I'd politely explain the situation and suggest that you rearrange - it's not worth the risk. Chickenpox is highly contagious until the last spot has scabbed over.
