Help help help

Postby Midwifemummy13 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 10:30 am

Hi just wanted to know if anyone knows of cheap exercise classes in Balham area? I'm really fed up of reading about rediculus high prices for personal training & classes. I will be new to exercise & not super fit but really keen to start ASAP & loose weight & tone up! If there's any other mums out there in a similar position please get intouch.
I look forward to any advice
Thanks

Hi, Fit For A Princess do a direct debit £55 per month unlimited classes - I too have been investigating :)

A swimming pass is pretty good value too although maybe not the season for it?

Midwifemummy - what sports activities do you like to do? I might be able to put you in touch with some appropriate.

At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs, please don't forget that weight loss is primarily an issue of diet not exercise, irrespective of what adverts may promise.

Netball? Great sport, good place to start. Try this for starters as you can go as an individual or with a pal. http://www.gomammoth.co.uk/play-sport/l ... am/netball

Get back in the pool too, no one is worst than me I'm sure. If you see a guy at Latchmere swimming in circles because he's rubbish, it'll be me :(

Enjoy!

Incase anyone else is interested I would be happy to run a class for £50 per hour. you can then split that between how ever many ladies you get to attend.

You can email me on myactivept@gmail.com if you are interested

Have you thought about balham leisure centre? They usually have deals going if you sign up for a long time (eg. 12 months for the price of 10) - the last time I joined it worked out to be £44 per month including use of the pool and all classes included. It's a bit 'basic', to be sure, but does the job!

Hi !!
I ve had exactly the same problem as you. Too expensive ridiculous price ...
I m on groupon and via that I found a boot camp in clapham park for £34 month and I can go as many times as I want. I would recommend you to join groupon first as they have a load of offer for boots camp it's a way to have a trial for really cheap. Can be 29 classes for £29.

Also I have bought Shaun t insanity work out and I am doing it at home I am a mother of 2 and when I do my exercise my kids found it funny and sometimes they try to do some moves really funny thought.

I have lost 4.5 stone since July and still 2.5 to go and I m starting to get fit!!!! If u need some support I m here. And all for not that much money !!! And no personal coach well apart from Shaun t on my screen tv
