christmas canapes

Postby jo jo » Tue Dec 03, 2013 1:20 pm

Hi this year we are off to the inlaws for christmas lunch which will be at 4pm so really teatime. i've been asked to do canapes and just wanted to ask you if you have got any favorite ideas/recipes you would share as want to try something different. i need to keep it simple and need to avoid oven space on the big day as i am more than sure that will be out of bounds. We will have to transport them and would be great if i could prep day before to make our xmas morning enjoyable and streess free. Love to here your recommendations!

Easiest ever is smoked mackeral blended till smooth with creme fraiche and a dash of cayenne to flavour. Make it in advance and when you get to the in-laws you can spread it on black olive crackers.
