Animal allergy testing

We are thinking of getting a pet but I think my son might be allergic to dogs so I'm keen to get him tested. I understand it's not possible to do it on the NHS so I'm looking for a recommendation for where to get him tested for allergies to dogs and cats. Any recommendations gratefully received! thanks

Professor Gideon Lack at the Portland is a good allergist, and I'm sure he could do the testing. My daughter has a couple of allergies and we've been seeing him for almost two years now. He's on 0207 390 8347.
