Activities for 1 year old and 3.5 year old in andTooting Bec

Postby putneystahm » Tue Feb 18, 2014 10:27 pm

Hello,

I am very excited to be moving to Tooting Bec (close to Fircroft school) in April ,when our house will be renovated and ready. I would like to know of places to take my 3.5 year old daughter and/ or her 1 year old brother ( he will be 1 in April). My daughter will be 4 in summer and will start school somewhere this September.

I will be totally new to the area and keen to explore Tooting Bec, Broadway, Balham, Furzedown, Wandsworth Common..

Many thanks in advance!

Hello there

Welcome to Tooting Bec. It's a lovely place to be with your family!

Here are a few favourites of ours, but www.tootingbaby.co.uk has a brilliant daily calendar telling you what is on -

- Monkey Music meets at Trinity Road Chapel near Wandsworth Common
- Deelight bakery on Ritherdon Rd has wonderful coffee and cakes and a kids play area.
- Amanda's Action Kids meets at Wandsworth Common's 'Common Ground' cafe
- The playground at Upper Tooting Park is a favourite of ours
- The toddler gym is daily at Tooting Leisure Centre
- Friday Frogs toddler group http://www.stnicholastooting.org.uk/ind ... iday-frogs

I hope that helps a bit!

Feel free to PM me if you'd like more info x

Thank you so much...
It is good to see much going on with so much choice!
I will definitely be checking out upper Tooting playground once the weather warms up.
If you don't mind I'd like to pm you as we get closer to the move in date in April.
Many thanks x

For your one year old, I can highly recommend Hillbrooks Childrens Centre on HIllbrook Road for their Monday morning stay and play sessions.

Bertie Boo adventure island is just up on Balham HIgh Road and also has story and music sessions as well as an indoor play area.

Bertrum House School on Friday afternoons does a fun on friday which is mixture of Monkey Music and a nursery play session.

Thank you so much for the information. I feel bad as i haven't done half as much fun stuff with the younger sibling. Looking forward to starting once we move to SW17. This has been very helpful And reassuring.
Cheers
