Cake maker?

Postby lynx14 » Thu Mar 06, 2014 3:18 pm

Can anyone recommend a local cake maker? My daughter has made a specific request for a green dinosaur for her 3rd birthday & I'm not sure my skills are up to it!
Thanks!

Lesley Cox is amazing!!!
She's made all of my cakes for the last 2 years (2 boys) and have her booked for the next one.
She's a local mum so is very flexible and very reasonable plus can pretty much can do anything you want her too!
Her email is hollycupcakes@rocketmail.com
Her mobile is 07771848804
I recommend her to all my friends a she is literally that good!

I can recommend Emily Hunt:

she made a fab cake for a friend's leaving party, and she's making my daughter's cake this year!

Good luck!

My husband works down the corridor from Jacqui Kelly and is constantly telling me about how amazing her cake creations are. I'm hoping this transpires into a decent birthday cake for me :D

Holly @ Etoile bakery www.etoilebakery.co.uk. She is amazing and her cakes are delicious! She has done 2 cakes for us now and we will keep going back. Very professional and creative! Check out the section under children's cakes and you will see some of her great works, my eldest's cake is featured there and she pulled that together in a week after previous cake maker cancelled on me. Funnily enough Holly's cakes are better and nicer so will always get our cakes done there. If you do a search on nappy valley she is recommended a lot. Please send me a note if you would like to know more...

Or if you feel like making it yourself, Party Pieces certainly used to have a green dinosaur with re spots cake kit, which I make for my son's birthday - not difficult to do and it comes with all the coloured icing ready for you to roll out and cut. From memory you can get it in plain or chocolate sponge mix.

Cakeology in Raynes Park are excellent. I always use them. They are also running kids cake decorating classes over Easter. Www.cakeology.net

I've just used Lesley Cox of Holly's Cupcakes (for the first time) for my son's christening cake (christening was just yesterday!) - it looked and tasted fabulous, and she is very reasonable with her prices. I chose her based on recommendations from others, and she truly delivered.
