French nurseries and primary schools in Clapham/Battersea??

Postby Bailey » Fri Sep 24, 2010 8:25 am

Hi,

We would like our daughter who is 9 months to attend a French primary school in Clapham or Battersea. We are not from here and just trying to get organised. We heard that she needs to get into a french nursery first...is this true? Anyway I would really appreciate any info you may have. Thank you. ps my husband is from Montreal.

I highly, highly recommend Cadet Rousselle Ecole in Herne Hill (3 mornings/week @£18 per session). Teacher was 10 years at l'Ecole des Petits. Unless you have a French passport, you can forget getting into the lycee. Try l'Ecole de Battersea -- sweet school. But after siblings, it's first come, first served so get your name down fast. There is priority for Europeans who speak French, so if your husband is French-Canadian (or can fake it) and your child is European (even British!) then go for it...
