Any new mums out there?

Hi,

My baby Ana is now 6 weeks old.

I would like to meet new mums to hang out with and share the good and the bad (although always worth it in the end) experiences, go for walks in the Commons, coffee, lunch, baby massages... it's all good and we are in for everything.

I don't know anybody in the area (with babies, that is) and did not do the NCT classes so need to meet some nice people!

You can join the NCT walk that goes every Wednesday morning from outside Cupcake on Northcote road at 10-15-10.30. It is run by a lovely lady called Melanie and is not exclusively for NCT members, anyone can join. It is really relaxed, informal - we walk around the common and then stop for coffee and cake in the Common Ground Cafe. I really would recommend it, everyone who does it has been lovely and although everyone is welcome, many tend to be new mums.

I think I'm going into labour, so will hopefully be a new mum any time now! I live near Clapham South and once I'm up and about again, will look forward to a bracing walk followed by a hot chocolate

And remember: it's all about good food and plenty of water but mainly: Get Some Proper Sleep when your little one lets you (and let others do the house work for you!!!)

Baby Max is here! He had to spend his first week in intensive care, but he's home now, and I'm pretty much recovered, so would love to get together ....
