Faircatch fish-box scheme has gurnard, mackerel and hake!

Postby Guy@Faircatch » Thu Mar 19, 2015 7:47 pm

We have some incredibly fresh sustainable fish being collected by our members at Barmouth Kitchen tomorrow afternoon (3.30-6.30). Despite surging in popularity thanks to Hugh F-W, Mitch Tonks et al, gurnard is still a really sustainable choice, easy to prepare and beautiful eating. Check out this video and give it a try, we have a couple of spare 0.75 kg packages for tomorrow if you sign up quickly!

If you're away for any of the Fridays within the 4 or 8 week period of your membership, just let us know and you can swap dates. Happy #fishfriday all

One of our new members Jamie kindly sent us this picture of their gurnard with prosecco and tarragon cream, which looks delicious.

Do sign up for a 4 or 8 week season of our fish-box scheme starting this Friday 27th March - we're closed for Easter so will add an extra week on the end, or if you're away for a longer period over the holidays, just let us know and we'll adjust your dates.

We are bound to have another interesting selection of super-fresh fish this Friday, so if you're a fan of quality fish, buying responsibly sourced food locally and consuming sustainably, give us a try!

Just to remind you how horrible most supermarket fish is....

More and more people are trying new species and having a crack at basic fish prep...

Why not sign up and join them? Fishbox schemes can contribute to sustainable management of fish stocks too, so you're doing your bit to help our seas!
