Really interesting to see the distances - thanks for posting. Rutherford House catchment hasn't actually changed much since last year. Not surprised that Ravenstone was able to offer a place to everyone given its Ofsted (and I know there are mixed views from parents on the report) but i came away from the open day with a pretty poor impression of the place. Surprised that Trinity St Mary was able to offer everyone places though. Alderbrook catchments shrunk quite a lot.

I'm interested to find out what school children from the area around the southern end of Wroughton/Hillier/Devereux Roads were offered? Looks to me like the Alderbrook catchment has shrunk sufficiently to exclude this area, but it's too far from HW/BV (even with the increase in BV's catchment). Ravenstone (seems very far for a 5yo to go)? Or do all kids from this area just go private?!?

I can confirm that the honeywell catchment extended to 189m as we are 189m and received a place.

re Trinity St Mary, have you read the Ofsted report, it's never the full picture obviously but see excerpt below:

The proportion of pupils who are known to be eligible for free school meals is above average. The majority of pupils come from minority ethnic backgrounds. Approximately a third of pupils are learning English as an additional language, including several at a very early stage. The proportion of pupils supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is above average. The proportion of pupils joining or leaving the school at other than the usual times is much higher than average.

This would be a similar picture in many Wandsworth schools. The best way to judge a school is to go and visit it, and talk to current parents if possible.

I back Pud1's reply. That's what our area is like. If you read the rest of the Ofsted report, it's actually very complimentary of the pupils' behaviour and achievement as well as of the leadership. The Data dashboard also shows encouraging results.
If an Ofsted report isn't quite the whole picture, even less so is an excerpt from it.
Good luck to all puzzled parents who were allocated this school without having ever heard about it. I never visited it as we were not considering a faith school, but it sounds like a lovely and nurturing place.

Which website do you use to calculate the direct distance?

Trinity St Mary's was one of our choices - and one we would have been happy to have been offered. It's a small school and felt like a very caring, nurturing place to me.

I'd be really interested if anyone has information on the distances this year for two schools in the Hyde Farm part of Balham - Henry Cavendish and Telferscot?

Unfortunately Lambeth isn't on the ball like Wandsworth and I can't find published metre information for this year.

Thanks!

Feel rather silly asking this question but what does BTC stand for?

Thanks.

I have a daughter at Trinity St Mary's and she has been there since nursery and she loves it. She is now in Year 2. It is a small school but the children know they are part of a nurturing, caring community and this is shown in their behaviour and attitude towards learning, each other and adults. My LO has been looked after like she is a member of a family with so much care and love. There is very good discipline at the school with children very respectful of others and adults. The staff are amazing and always ready to assist and answer questions. I am so glad that my LO is in such a good school.

Taking a small excerpt from an Ofsted report which poster firsttimerSW11 does not give the full picture. Perhaps call the school and ask if you can have a visit and have a look around and get a feel for the school yourself.

It's great that Wandsworth distances have been confirmed - but does anyone know where to access Lambeth too? I'm applying in Jan and live on the Lambeth/Wandsworth border, so really keen to see what this years distances are at first offer level.
