Friendly local family looking for after-school nanny for their nine year old son from mid-September.
We are looking for someone with childcare experience who is well educated, kind and outgoing and who genuinely enjoys engaging with children (not just supervising them) and encouraging their development and interests. A perfect role for a teaching / nursery assistant or trainee teacher looking for a second job!
Duties include: to collect from school (Thomas's Clapham) supervise/assist with homework; take to after-school activities; prepare home-cooked supper; organise school bags; help with laundry; as well as play and chat etc!
Hours: During term times, Monday - Friday 15.00 to 18.30 (school pick up 16.00). Later start possible some days of the week if our son does supervised prep or after-school activities at school. Also opportunity to work for part /most of the school holidays if desired (08.30 - 18.30, or fewer hours depending on attendance at sports camps etc).
Excellent spoken and written English is absolutely essential, as is DBS check and knowledge of First Aid. Driver (automatic car) strongly preferred but not essential. Familiarity with SW11 area is an advantage.
