good nurseries near Battersea Park

Postby madina » Fri Mar 04, 2011 3:17 pm

Dear moms,

can you please suggest good nurseries for an 18 month old around Battersea Park? I 've heard that Bridge Lane is quite good but they are full :( Any other suggestions? We'll be moving to the area soon.

Hi,
We live near Battersea Park and had to wait 6 months to get our son into Bridge Lane, I know it is quite popular. The only other nursery I know that is close, is Asquith on Latchmere Road. There was a post about Asquith a month ago with some comments from parents whose children attend so that is worth looking at.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
:)

Dear Topmama,

thank you for your response. I have visited Asquith, it looks OK but I go wtih my gut feeling and it tells me to look further :) I also visited Blundells which is around the corner from Asquith. I quite liked it but they have a tiny garden :(

Yes we are very happy with Bridge Lane, my son who is 2 has been there for 1 year for 2/3 days a week. He has always been happy to attend each day and often doesn't seem to want to leave in the afternoon!

Our daughter will be starting there in the summer when I go back to work.

We choose Bridge Lane because it was walking distance from our home, the staff seemed happy and friendly and the children seemed to be enjoying themselves. Although, since my son has attended the nursery it has received a very good Ofsted report ....whatever that means!

I was not so keen on the mobile/toddlers being upstairs, however this has taught our son to walk up and downstairs very carefully always holding on!

Good luck in finding a nursery. :)
