Looking for Speech Therapist for baby feeding difficulties

Postby Bambino » Wed Feb 15, 2017 5:30 pm

Hi all,

My 10 month old son has got some trouble with weaning/ feeding (mainly with swallowing). We are in the care of a gastroentrologist and an allergy specialist but I would like to see a speech therapist too privately. I would appreciate if you have any recommendation.

Many thanks.

You could Kiki's clinic on thurleigh road. They do both occupational therapy and speech therapy and may be able to help. Good luck.

I can highly recommend Annalou Low. She saw my son as a baby for weaning/swallowing issues and also a bit later on for speech (he had NG feeding tube, unsafe swallow, tracheostomy so it was quite challenging). She was really helpful in guiding me on weaning and has a really good manner with children. I was frankly amazed at how she got my 18 month to sit at a table and concentrate for his first speech session! She also helped a friend who had a very prem baby with serious feeding aversion/ swallowing issues and gave them a very clear strategy which really helped.
