picnic blankets and ice lollies

Postby Mary-in-Earlsfield » Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:31 pm

Hi all,

Happy heat wave!

I've got picnic blanket envy! I see so many nice ones at the park and want to invest in a bigger one than I currently have (Tweedmill) that only fits two adults. Any recommendations for a larger classic looking one that is waterproof and washable?

Also - we've got a tiny freezer but I really want to start making more ice lollies for my little boy. The current sailboat shaped moulds I have are unwieldy and a bit too big. Can you recommend any ice lolly moulds that aren't too big and are easy to use?

Many thanks!
Mary

On the ice lollies, juice in an ice cube tray and wooden stirrers carefully broken in half (with the rounded end in the ice) and put in when it's semi-frozen makes ice lollies that seem to be a pretty good size for a toddler's attention span and maybe small enough for your freezer?
