My husband and I have recently bought a house which needs a few roof repairs (amongst many other things!).

Can anyone recommend a roofer who doesn't charge the earth?

I have some previous here. I needed some work done on a minor leak. Got one outfit in based on one of those web "let a builder quote" type sites.
Ended up with a company that charged me for 2 people for a day but actually just put a lad up on the roof for a few hours to slop a bit of cement about.
Anyway, it wasn't fixed - as I found out with all this recent rain.
Based on a recommendation from someone else, I got a chap called Steve Collier. His mobile is 07985749075.
Steve was great - diagnosed the problem and fixed it with no fuss and at a reasonable rate. Highly recommended.
