Swimwear 2024

Last Updated on : 9th May 2024

After a very damp couple of months, most of us are really looking forward to our sunshine break with May half term and the Summer hols on the horizon.  As part of the prep and general excitement of an upcoming holiday in the sun, now is the time to go Swimwear shopping.  All the stock is fresh in the boutiques with a full range of sizes and all the hot trends and styles.  Let’s avoid the dreaded last minute panic buying (we all know how that goes) and instead feel our best selves on the beach or by the pool this year!

We, at Amélie’s follies, have put together a recap of the big swim trends this summer. From block colours, greens, pink & orange to metallics, it is all tied up nicely with matching beach to bar outfits.

Probably the biggest trend this summer is Metallics.

Whether incorporated within a print with shimmering threads or the all over gold or silver, it has never been easier to add a bit of sparkle to your swimwear wardrobe. What better way to take your beach look into the cocktail hour than with a metallic bikini or swimsuit?

Pink & orange together:

As you can see from the pictures below, pink & orange together are an easy way to add a pop of colour to your holiday snaps. Stick with brights (no pastels here) it will work wonders whether you are sun shy or a sun worshipper.

Greens, in any tone, are also big news this season. It doesn’t matter if you go for an olive, emerald, army or apple shade, plain or incorporated in a print, you will find it hard to stay away from it. There is a green out there for every skin tone, you just need to find yours.

Block colours:

We know only too well that some of you just don’t get on with prints. And although it is a shame, as prints can be so flattering, there are always lots of plain brights to choose from. Again, we recommend you stay away from pastels which can be draining and focus on bright more jewelled tones as these will work on everybody.

Matching beachwear:

Another big trend this summer is matching beachwear or co-ords. This will not only guarantee that  you will always look impeccable and put together from beach to bar, it will also make it easier to keep your packing to a carry on only (as if!). Most brands of swimwear have a selection of matching wraps, beach bags, kaftans and summer dresses. But we also make sure our selection of prints and plains work together so you can mix and match easily across our different brands to keep your holiday wardrobe easy to navigate.

We have much, much more in store to show you. We offer the same fitting service for swimwear as we do for bras with sizing ranging from A to J cup (8 to 20Uk). Book yourself in for an appointment and enjoy a stress free personal shopping experience. We are here to help you put together an entire summer wardrobe without breaking a sweat.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
