An outstanding 11 scholarships to top schools were received in a year group of 16 girls at Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School, Clapham Common. Not all the girls sat scholarship papers, making this an unprecedented result for a school that is non-selective at age 4+. The Headmaster, Mr Oliver Snowball, says that he is exceptionally pleased with the results and that “all the girls have achieved their potential.”
These latest results mark a decade of success at EHTM Girls’ School, which has matured into a school that the Good Schools’ Guide (2019) has called ‘warm, supportive and nurturing’, ‘traditional without being stuffy’ and ‘clearly engaged with the contemporary educational debate,’ taking the scholarship tally to 44 scholarships in the last four years.
This year, prestigious scholarships included an Academic Scholarship to Wycombe Abbey, an Academic Scholarship to James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS), an Academic Scholarship to St Mary’s Ascot and an Academic Scholarship to Alleyn’s.Some of the place offers include: St Pauls’ Girls’ School (2), Wycombe Abbey (2), Godolphin & Laytmer (2), James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) (4),St Mary’s Ascot (2), Alleyn’s (1),Putney High (1),Frances Holland (5), amongst other fine schools.
Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School achieves these wonderful results due to the superb system of wellbeing that supports each girl as an individual as she finds her strengths and passions through a huge co-curricular and extra-curricular programme in Academics, the Arts, Music, Drama and Sport, including a choice of 33 after-school clubs and many trips and outings, both at home and abroad.
There really is a ‘sky is the limit’ approach to learning and all pupils are encouraged to use their intelligence in a dynamic way to demonstrate quick, reasoned and engaging responses to the world about them. Well done, girls!
