Dulwich College is delighted to have been shortlisted for its Community Outreach as part of the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2020, which celebrate educational excellence and innovation.

Supporting the community lies at the heart of Dulwich College’s ethos. It’s regular (pre-lockdown) outreach programme sees 262 boys and 47 staff volunteering every week across 19 different community projects from supporting elderly residents with IT to helping local primary school children with reading and maths.

Despite lockdown, the pupils’and staff commitment to community action has not wavered, and there have been many fundraising initiatives -creative and virtual-where support continues, including the production of BSI accredited facial visors for NHS staff and local surgeries, pharmacies and care homes, fundraising for the National Emergencies Trust Covid-19 Appeal, and launching an initiative to help tackle digital poverty.
