Ms Jo Townsend arrived at the Lower School last half term to start her role as Head following her maternity leave. Following discussions with Jo over the summer holiday, she has made the decision to step down from the headship at the Lower School from the start of this term, in order for her to pursue other leadership opportunities. While we are saddened that Jo will not continue in her role as Head at the Lower School, we support and respect her decision, and we wish her and her family all the very best for the future.
I am delighted to confirm that Mrs Caron Mackay has been appointed the next Head of Broomwood Lower School. Mrs Mackay served as Acting Head with distinction last year, guiding her colleagues through a full inspection that garnered an outcome of Excellent, the highest judgement possible. She continued to lead the school into this term, where her infectious determination and clear passion for a school that she loves, continues to inspire. Our entire Northwood Schools’ community congratulates Mrs Mackay and wishes her continued success.
