To celebrate our summer sale Roundhouse looks at the latest storage trends from curved islands to beautiful metallic finishes.

1 Smart Storage

Smart storage can make or break luxury kitchen design. Of course, choosing door colours and worktops is an exciting part of the design journey. However, great storage will take upmarket kitchen designs from chaotic to clutter free, all day, every day. Here at Roundhouse Kitchens we adore solving all your storage dilemmas. And we are always on the hunt for the latest and greatest storage solutions to transform your space. Whether that’s a kitchen pantry cabinet to hide breakfast essentials or super-wide pan drawers that glide out effortlessly, we are on hand to help.

Be inspired by some of our favourite storage trends and let store and order begin…

2 Mix and match

If there’s one storage trend that isn’t going anywhere, it’s the mix and match kitchen. Breaking up built-in storage with a few standalone pieces will elevate every bespoke kitchen design and make it stand out from the crowd. You’ll get all the plus points of fitted storage with the statement looks of a kitchen pantry cabinet or freestanding glass dresser. In a luxury big kitchen design our Nightingale cabinet is spot on for creating a relaxed unfitted mood. If space is tight, kitchen shelf ideas or a small butcher’s block will do the trick nicely. Time to think outside the box…

3 Curve appeal

Curves are back all over the home – and that includes the luxury kitchen room. Think rounded silhouettes, curved shapes and fluted materials, taking storage from simple to sensational in one easy sweep. Try a luxury kitchen island with softly rounded ends – not only stylish but a safer choice if you have a young family. Or how about fluted glass cabinets and curved pantry style doors to embrace the organic and welcoming design tempo. Our roundhouse experts can’t get enough of curves in the kitchen. Go with the flow and make a sweeping statement you’ll be oh so soft on.

4 Introduce luxe materials

Create a striking storage statement by switching up luxe materials. Neutral designer kitchens look elegantly on trend, offset with a storage bank in dark bronze, concrete or light driftwood. Another tip is to zone custom kitchen islands in a warm metallic finish such as Antique Brass shown in this kitchen design. Left unlacquered, the brass will gracefully age and patina over time. The high end Arts & Crafts look continues across woven brass larder doors casting a soft warm glow when lit from within. This is how to take storage trends into the 2024 spotlight.

5 Built in bars

You can’t beat a kitchen party. Even in teeny rooms, kitchens are always the go-to space for a soiree. So why not elevate a luxury kitchen room with your very own home bar. Make the most of a redundant alcove with a pocket door kitchen cabinet. Or utilise our bespoke cabinets for an under-the-stairs cocktail hub. Plan out home bar storage with shelves and racks for pretty glassware, mixology kit and bottles. Your upmarket kitchen design has never been so popular. Cocktail hour, anyone?

6 The back kitchen

When it comes to finding chic yet practical storage solutions to keep beautiful bespoke kitchens neat and tidy, the back kitchen ticks every box. Accessible and super-practical, it’s easy to see why this extra space – often called a walk-in larder unit – is such a storage bonus. Not just a place to store dried ingredients, walk in larder ideas keep the main kitchen clear of dirty dishes, piles of laundry and pet kit. Add in plug sockets and a second sink too for extra functionality. Sit back, relax and let your back kitchen do all the hard work for you.

Where to put kettle and toaster in kitchen?

A dedicated coffee station is a fabulous place to store your kettle and toaster in bespoke designer kitchens. Built directly on to the worktop, these bespoke cabinets create a clever storage hub for small appliances and other breakfast essentials. They’ll also free up worktop space for a more streamlined look.
