The days are gradually getting longer and we’re less than a month away from actual spring (at least that’s what the calendar is telling us). As we look forward to those brighter, longer warmer days, we can start brightening our wardrobe from the inside out with beautifully coloured underwear.
We at Amélie’s Follies have put together a small summary of all the on-trend colours for spring/summer lingerie. From neon brights to neutral basics, we have you covered.
Hands up who likes to show a pretty strap in those skimpier summer outfits!
Neons are very much on-trend this summer. If you lived through the 80s then this may bring back fond memories of your younger self. A neon bra strap is always fun to show off, and an easy way to add a bit of fun to pretty much any outfit.
Last year may have been Barbie’s year, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped pink from being very present again this coming season. And teaming pink with purple will trickle nicely into the autumn/winter collections later this year. So purple lovers – rejoice! – it is coming back on-trend. And pink lovers, don’t worry – it’s not going anywhere.
After neutrals, navy is probably our most requested colour throughout the year. While navy is more of a winter tone, lighter, brighter shades of blue are taking over for spring. From Tiffany blue to cobalt, we have a lovely blue corner for you to get your fix. Don’t worry, navy will be back with a vengeance for AW25.
Not neons, just bright punchy colours. These are often block colours but can also be part of floral embroidery or lace. Again, perfect if you like to show off your straps – certainly nothing boring here!
Not a trend – although Mocha mousse is supposed to be the colour of the summer – neutrals are year-round bestsellers. For those of you who tend to only buy neutrals, we will have a selection of new ones so you can ring the changes. And for those who like more variety in their underwear, neutrals are there to complete your portfolio of colours.
We have an excellent range of styles, shapes and colours available in the boutique – many more than pictured here. Don’t hesitate – book yourself in for a fitting now, so you can upgrade your lingerie drawer before the warmer days. It is always a good idea to have a clear-out before your appointment. Not only will you know for sure what you need, but you can leave all your unwanted bras with our bra bank in aid of Breast Cancer Research, so you’ll have plenty of room for all your new goodies.
