Here we be demonstrate the method for a chest tie, but this can be reproduced for the waist as well. It is a clever way to tie any big piece of fabric without the bulky bow finish.
1) First, wrap the sarong around the desired area – here we have done the chest.
Pinch the fabric a few inches from the edge (how far will depend on the width of your wrap, but also on your knot-tying skills 😊. Don’t worry, this will become intuitive the more you do it!
2) Let the end of the fabric fall, only holding where you pinched.
3) With your thumb and forefinger, make a circle with your other hand around the fabric and pull down thus creating your first ‘bunny ear’.
4) Repeat step 1 to 3 on the other side of the fabric.
You now have 2 ‘bunny ears’ that you can tie together.
5) In order to get a nice neat bow, tie left over right, then right over left.
As you can see from the pictures, the ‘bunny ears’ in the demonstration are still quite long. You can achieve an even more streamlined look once you have mastered tying a knot with shorter ‘bunny ears’
