Just because she has an Asian name doesn’t de facto make this an honour killing! I haven’t seen it described as such anywhere in the news...

I had to reply to Ratski to say that i thought that domestic murder had very little to do with culture and diversity and has always happened at all levels of society everywhere in the world.
 

Two ‘honour’ killings in two days last week in London with this and the crossbow incident in Ilford.

Part and parcel of living in a diverse and culturally enriched city I guess.

An all too familiar husband kills wife story. Undoubtedly following years of domestic violence where this poor woman has not had the means, knowledge or ability to escape from her murderer. And they wonder why these solidarity for women movements and the rise of support for feminism is still so important. There is still very far to go. So sad.

This is very very sad. IS there any more news. Was the person arrested a partner or husband or someone she knew who might have knocked at the door so she let them in?

I feel so much for her family.

'A murder investigation has been launched after a 62-year-old woman was found dead in south west London.Police were called at around 11.40pm Monday to a home in Balham Park Road, Balham where the victim had been assaulted, the Metropolitan Police said. Her family has been told.Her death brings the number of homicides in London so far this year to 119, more than there were in the whole of 2017.A 66-year-old man, who was known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.'

Such sad news. Our thoughts go out to her family.

So sad! No update apart from a man has been arrested and is being held in custody.
 

Just saw a headline of a murder of a 62 year old woman on Balham Park Rd.  Anyone know address?  I live close by.  Very sad news.
