Everyone is tired of this. Remember the South Park episode about the bikers?

At least you hear them coming. Ive lost count of the near misses with silent, almost invisible, electric scooters.

Absolutely agree. The legal noise limit is now 80 decibels and it is also illegal to tamper with exhausts to make them noisier. However friends say Kensington & Chelsea Council are about to install new Acoustic Cameras (which work like speed cameras but also record sound). The cameras were trialled in Westminster following a petition by local residents so this might be a way to get something done. In our area there appears to be a group of 20 or so men who use local main road as a race track in the night, lights blazing.

Utterly sick of it. It has worsened dramatically since apps such as Deliveroo. I ride a motorcycle myself. Much of the noise nuisance is due to rider technique combined w illegal bike status. There is a law re noise levels. As another post has said the problem is that there is no enforcement. Hopefully electric bikes and mopeds will change bike roadworthy status. I contacted Wandsworth council once, motivated by Westminster banning moped deliveries. Wandsworth not at all interested and couldn’t see the issue. Perhaps they will in future??

Yes, totally. I find it really gets to me.  There is a law against it but its not enforced. 😒

Is anyone else sick and tired of the noise of motorbikes roaring around?
