With snoring that loud, I wonder whether he has obstructive sleep apnoea? Does he stop breathing in his sleep or have abnormally long pauses? Probably with some snorting and stirring as he restarts breathing? Ask him to fill out an Epworth sleepiness scale, video any pauses in his breathing and let his GP
decide if he needs a referral to ENT/NHS sleep clinic for w sleep study. If OSA is proven on the sleep study, they can then help him find a snoring solution as part of the treatment.
