If you are looking for a good value destination for summer without long flights, there are some lovely hotels that you could look at in Portugal particularly in the central Algarve. There is plenty to do and the beaches are beautiful. Some  hotels have kids clubs but they are usually quite low key. Corfu is another place where there are various villa/hotel combinations that won't break the bank. Please drop me an email on travelmatterswithjacky@gmail.com as I'd be very happy to help.

Europe is so expensive in the summer as I discovered last year when I was scouting around for a family holiday. However it turns out that the Canaries are quite a lot cheaper, mainly I suspect because their high season is earlier in the year due to the climate being warm in the winter/spring. We stayed at the Abama last August on half board (fantastic food and it’s all in waiter-serviced restaurants) with car hire and it was thousands cheaper than the equivalent hotel on the European mainland would have been.

Hello, summer holiday prices really are crazy at the moment. I run a travel agency specialising in family holidays. And actually I have found that long haul is often cheaper than Europe. Have you considered Mauritius for example? Get in touch if you would like to chat about some different options for the summer. I have quite few different ideas. You can whatsapp or call me on 020 7167 8332.

Summer holiday destinations that won't break the bank

Morning! Does anyone have any suggestions for summer holiday locations. We have historically been to places like Martinhal and Mark Warner but thinking maybe something a bit cheaper this year. They ahve all become so expensive in high season. Would like it to be comfortable but not necessarily looking for the whole kids club on speed formula. Any tried and tested recommendations would be really valuable. Many thanks.
