Saw that someone had eluded to this in a post asking about self defence class recommendations for teens and as I received details in my school WhatsApp groups thought I'd share. This took place near Streatham Common at the end of last week:
A young schoolgirl was followed home from Strathbrook Road and an attempt made to drag her into their car- she luckily remembered to scream bloody murder and fought back and brought attention to herself from other residents who intervened and made sure she was okay and safe. She's been going home from school with no problems for the last few months so it's very scary to hear that something like this happened so close to home. Car is described as gold vehicle - person wearing all black clothes including black beanie. It happened around 4pm.
Very scary and hope the girl is not too traumatised by this awful incident.
