I needed a chimney sweep and someone who could cap the chimney stacks, Paul Clark doesn't do the capping but he recommend Mick Binge who does both sweeping and capping, he came around last weekend and did a good job. Was very tidy and didn't make a mess, was also honest and charged us less than expected in the end. Would recommend, his number is 07860263874.

Oh and forgot to mention - its a family business since 1870 and now run by him and his wife.

I just used Alan Nash from 1,2,3 Chimney Sweeps (tel nb - 020 8668 9914) who turned up on time, was very friendly, efficient and cleaned up everything after him with absolutely no mess! I would recommend him highly. :D

I hope no one minds me asking, but what should one expect to pay to have a chimney swept? DH has his heart set on using the fireplace in our front room and I wanted to know whether it is worth it!
