Hornsby House

Friendly private school on the edge of the Nightingale Triangle. Newish head has built upon the work of the previous to transform the school into one of the most popular in the area, with children’s academic progress closely monitored. Waiting lists have shot up from almost nothing five years ago to over 200 for reception 2009 and admissions are first come first served with priority for siblings. Pupils mainly go on to the south London independent day schools. Strong emphasis on sport, with matches played regularly at nearby Trinity Fields. Parents are down-to-earth and local, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Ages 4-11.
