Hello, I'm Lucy, a master's student in Play Therapy at Roehampton University.

I'm looking for a family in London or nearby with a newborn, ideally three months old or younger.

Your meaningful participation will help us understand how infants grow, connect, and thrive during these critical early months.

How It Works:
-Approach: I will visit your home and observe your interactions respectfully without taking notes during the session.
-Schedule: We will flexibly schedule 20 weekly one-hour meetings between January and July.
-Privacy: Notes will be anonymous and written after each session.

My Professional Background:
I hold a DBS certificate, Level 3 Safeguarding, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and professional indemnity insurance.

My qualifications include a PG Dip in Creative Arts and Mental Health, Foundation Art Psychotherapy, PGCE, BA in Primary Education with Art, TEFL Cert and CACHE Dip Childcare.

I have training in Mental Health, Stress Management, Suicide Awareness, Bereavement, FGM, Unconscious Bias, Cybersecurity, EDI, GDPR, Anti-Racism, Makaton, Calm Physical Intervention, and Autism Support.

I believe therapy is vital for fostering positive change, particularly for children who may not receive adequate support in traditional educational settings. I have seen how therapeutic techniques benefit students and colleagues facing emotional challenges, particularly in my experience teaching in both mainstream and special needs education in the UK and internationally.

Interested or Want to Know More?
I'd happily arrange a call, Zoom, or in-person meeting.

Please email me at carreckl1@roehampton.ac.uk or provide your details for me to contact you by filling out my interest form, including a university letter explaining in more detail here: https://forms.gle/UmdUBLo6DEv37x2f6 You can also visit the British Association of Play Therapists website: www.bapt.info

Do you know any new or expectant parents I could connect with? Would you be willing to display my leaflet at your workplace? I would appreciate your support in early development research by sharing it with others.

Thank you for considering this opportunity! 😊
