I think people do go to Greycoat but from Clapham North/Clapham Common area and it's those who are already at church schools

I'm in a very similar position to original poster.

rooting4tootking mentions Greycoat - I've just had a look and unless you have been attending church weekly for 5 years, it looks pretty much impossible to get into. And very far away. Does anyone go there from Wandsworth?

And is a generally held view that Emanuel and clapham & streatham are less academic? Thanks

Thanks!

greycoat and kingsdale. both great in their own way if you want state, otherwise, both clapham/streatman high and emanuel aren't v academic. for more academic then putney, jags or allaynes

If you want Bolingbroke, you must be in one of the feeder schools (Honeywell, Belleville, High View, Falconbrook and Wix I believe) and stay in catchment also.

No personal experience but you could take a look at Burntwood and Chestnut Grove.

State secondary schools in wandsworth

Hello

We have recently moved back to the UK and got a place at one of the very popular state primaries in wandsworth.
Our daughter is 9 and we need to start looking at secondary school options.
I'm trying to get my head around the different options (state) and admission criteria...

We have friends with children at Bolingbroke Academy and Graveney, and have heard good feedback about both.

Please can you recommend other state schools we should consider?

We are currently living BTC (but happy to move if needed for secondary school).
Our priorities are good academic results (doesn't have to be very academic, as our DD is not v academic either) and well behaved children.

thank you!
