Tooting Primary School - Free School Academy

Hello, Our daughter is due to start Reception in September 2014. I know, we have still a whole year to apply but I am trying to find out what our options are... We live in a part of Tooting from which almost every primary school seems quite far away... The metering system is very confusing... How do...

Re: where to visit Father Christmas?!

Battersea Park Zoo, Hyde Park (our favourite choices) Many places will have Father Christmas. For example WackyWareHouse in Colliers Wood. Yes, Harrods is fully booked. We booked our tickets in September and only few days in November were free. It fills up very quickly... But in my opinion (unlike t...

"Mange Tout Kids" Do you know this children class?

Hello, I have a 2+ year old girl who just won't eat! She was diagnosed with anaemia that might be the cause of her disinterest in food and she is at the moment on some supplements that should put her iron levels back to normal and hopefully she will regain back her appetite. I am little bit worried ...

Re: My toddler won't settle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't changed anything in his routine at all than it will just be a phase and he will go back to normal. We had exactly same problem with our daughter of similar age. I always blame her teething. We had couple of evenings where I had to go and lie down with her... thinking that this would n...

Re: eczema?

Aveeno cream and bath oil (contains oatmeal) are fantastic. And it can be also prescribed by GP so it won't cost you anything.

Dominican Republic with a toddler

Hello, I was wondering if any of you did a trip with a toddler to Dominican Republic and stayed for only one week. We went couple of years ago with my husband for two weeks and the place is just amazing! We are trying to decide where to go to celebrate our 10th anniversary and would love to return t...

Re: Advice on separation anxiety for 16 month old?

Hi there, I understand that you don't like leaving your little one upset... Before I had my daughter I would probably agree with your nanny but now since I have her I can see the parent side as well. I would pick her up, give her kiss and a cuddle - tell her that mummy will be back later... And then...

Re: Vapourizers and sore throats

Try Difflam Spray (Benzydamine hydrochloride) It's great for very sore throat. My daughter was very poorly and ended up in the hospital. She got this spray from a paediatric doctor. One of her problems was extremely sore throat and completely refused to take anything by mouth. It was bit of a fight ...

St Georges Hospital

I read many negative posts about St Georges Hospital and I would like to share my good experience we had this week. It's scary to see your baby sick and you would want the best care for them - and trust me - you can get great care over at St Georges Hospital. Our 15 months old daughter was very poor...

Re: Do you drive a 4x4

Some really ridiculous posts. But everyone has their own opinion... I don't drive 4x4 - I cannot really imagine to drive anything bigger than our Vauxhall astra. And the streets in London are so narrow. I don't think that these cars belong on London streets but I guess that majority of people who ha...

Re: First buy...Shared homeownership
