Re: dehumidifier recommendations

My son has respiratory problems. We have got an air purifier in his room, which has a humidifier built in. If you have mould, this may be a better option. I got ours from Curry's on Wandworth Bridge Road. It is the Sharp KC930EKW Plasmacluster. It is £250 but we have had it on most nights in the las...

Re: Proper black out blinds/curtains for sash windows?

Try Easy Blackout Blinds - I got ours off Amazon. You stick the velcro tape round the frame of your sash window ( you can do it so it is not visible on the side/underside on the sash etc) and then you get the blackout fabric and it sticks to the velcro tape ensuring a fit with no gaps. In the winter...

Re: Help! Montessori or a more playful nursery...?

Mouse House/Hole are owned by the head teacher of Thomas's Clapham... Montessori is a less structured approach of learning through play. My biggest concern is that if your child wants to spend all day, every day playing with beads then in principal they could not do any of the other activities. But ...

Am so cross... Rang Park Mobile to pay for parking and returned 2 hours later to find a parking ticket. Now, whilst I may have pressed the wrong buttons (unlikely but just bare with me!), has anyone else had this where they have dialled through but then not been covered? My phone registers that I ca...

Re: Best Thai Takeaway recommendation, please?!

Thanks for replying so quickly!

Sadly they don't come to me (Wandsworth Common).

Might have to change my plans for tonight, and leave the Thai, as getting peckish...but if anyone has any suggestions for a good Thai for another night, please do share!!!

Re: Northcote Road - The Burger Wars!!!

Completely agree with Amelia! Byron - Loved the space, staff helpful, clean. Spot on, salty french fries....but... The burger was rubbish and tasteless (chicken burger!). Absolutely no seasoning and completely bland. Quite expensive for a less than average meal. Wouldn't go back. GBK - DELICIOUS!!! ...

Re: Capital Carpets, Northcote Road

Apparently they are closing down and becoming...yet another estate agents.

Perhaps any motivation they may have had to be helpful has gone!

On that note, anyone know what is going in place of the Italian deli? Just being nosey!!

Custom made headboards/valances recommendation please.

I would like to have some single bed headboards custom made with matching valances. Other than sofa.com and The Dormy House, I was hoping someone may be able to recommend a company or individual who can do this at a reasonable price, please!

Many thanks

Re: Too eager to diagnose reflux?

Having had two children diagnosed and treated with silent reflux, I just wanted to share what I have experienced as I found that doctors impart with little information and it all gets a bit confusing! 1. You say your LO has had a test for allergies. If it was the skin test, then this is not accurate...

Re: Anyone have a list toddler classes wandsworth common?

I don't have a list - sorry - but would love one. Perhaps it is something that NVN could add to their site? However, these are the classes that I do with my 14 month old and perhaps others could copy and paste and add what they do? MONDAY 10 am Tin Pan Annie, St Lukes Church Ramsden Road, SW12 TUESD...

Re: Can anyone recommend a sleep consultant?

I am sure you have, but is his room completely dark? I found that Easiblinds were a godsend (a velcro blackout that sticks to the window frame). In the summer months, I also had a towel rolled up at the bottom of the door to keep the light out! It is also worth checking whether external factors may ...
