Re: Bag stolen inside Lola Rojo restaurant on Saturday after

This happened to me on Northcote. The reason I didn't notice anything is that it was a woman with child on the neighbouring table, who had even smiled at me. I felt safe amongst other mummies, but she dipped my bag for my purse and left. I came back from the loo to find it gone and my friend at the ...

Re: Best campsites in France

I can thoroughly recommend Camping Le Brevedent in Normandy. It's based around a lake in the grounds of a small chateau. Super child friendly, facilities without an "organised feel", chickens roaming around, swimming pool, restaurant with sandy playgrouns attached so you can relax whilst w...

Re: Wanted! A miniature sausage dog

Hi there, just wanted to say, google Fenella Fleur to read up on daxys. They are up north so although too far, they have an excellent website with breed info, including the premature blindness testing that you need to look for with daschund breeders now. My mother in law is getting a pup from them. ...

Re: Where to eat in Cornwall

On a sunny day, eating seafood at the the Porthminster Cafe, gazing at the turquoise waters on the beach at St Ives is like being in the med! Book if you can! www.porthminstercafe.co.uk Must say I think "Padstein" is a little overrated, and overpriced too.. If you don't get in to Jamies, t...

Hi there - I can really recommend Dom Makin AKA The Dogfather!! I know him personally so can vouch for his caring manner and professionalism. He really loves the dogs he looks after (including a few spaniels) and has many clients in the Nappy Valley area. He provides dog walking, and boarding in his...

Re: 18 month old developed fear of baths - help!

Hi there, perhaps you could try a distraction method like a bath time bubble machine? I bought one of these in Blooming Marvellous for my friend's little girl and she loved it!

Re: The Beaumont Osteopathic Practice

Must respond to this post with a big thumbs up for Beaumont Osteopathic Practice! Adam helped me through a terrible bout of SPD with my first pregnancy, and made my second pregnancy so much more manageable and far less painful. His calm and flexible approach made me feel very at ease and the results...

Re: Suggestions for a first bike for a 4 year old? Halfords?

I was going to suggest a balance bike/running bike (without pedals) as my son has a Steady Eddie. We bought it for him on his second birthday and now, at three and a half, he still loves it and rides it every day. Because he's got his balance with it he won't need stabilisers and will go straight to...

Re: We need your help...whats the best takeway...

Must vote for the lovely peeps at Yumea on Battersea Rise. The food is really tasty, especially our favourites the Chui Yum Prawns or Chui Yum Squid. I don't think they use any MSG (or not much certainly) as my husband throws up at a hint of it. They're friendly, fresh and fast!

Re: Feeding my toddler!

My son rejected anything requiring digging in with a spoon around two years old. It's such a pain because that rules out most meals I woud make in one pot and freeze...The Health Visitor said at his two year check that this was a normal stage, he would start wanting to see all his food laid out sepe...

Re: Common Ground - why are they rude?

Northcote Road. An Eastern European looking woman with a child stopped for the quickest coffee ever at the table me, and dipped in to my bag when we weren't looking. I didn't feel unsafe as she had a child with her but apparently it's a regular occurance! Just as I was calling to cancel my cards ano...
