Re: touristy but child-friendly coffee or lunch in London?

South Bank is always a good option. There's Giraffe and Strada which are both v family friendly and it's good for a stroll! My advice is get there no later than 1130 if you want lunch as both get v busy!
Have a good one!

Re: New baby - better to have toddler at nursery in AM or PM

PS...I meant to say, according to friends with 2 kids, the only way to be able to do a 9am drop off at nursery is to shower and eat breakfast before kids are up and depending on the baby's feeding routine that could be a killer! There's always a trade off...!

Re: New baby - better to have toddler at nursery in AM or PM

Congratulations SW11_! We're in a similar position with a 3 yr old daughter and a baby due in a few weeks. We've decided to go with just morning sessions at nursery as I'm aiming to get them to nap together after lunch. Our 3 year old doesn't need a nap every day, but if I can get an hour or so a fe...

Re: Carluccio's Earlsfield - rude!

We are also regulars at Carluccios and have always found them to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They always make a fuss of my little girl and give her breadsticks and crayons etc and I am really surprised to hear about your experience. I agree with the other posts re speaking to the ma...

Re: Did you have to fight for an epidural at St Georges?

Thank you ladies for your responses. My blood pressure has been quite volatile so I think I'm just going to play on that as I'm fairly sure the immense pain of labour will make it spike! I've requested my notes from St Thomas' which will show what a traumatic labour I had 1st time arouns, so hopeful...

Did you have to fight for an epidural at St Georges?

I'm due to give birth to my 2nd child very soon at St Georges and am hearing from other 2nd time mums that the hospital has been less than accommodating with requests for epidurals. While I accept that sometimes the anaesthetist may be in theatre or busy with other patients, I am horrified to hear o...

Attempted child abduction in Tooting yesterday

Hi all, I just spotted a post on another local mum's network and apparently "A man age 25 -30 in white van attempted to abduct a child in tooting yesterday. It was reported to police and apparently there were 3 similar incidents yesterday (two same description) two girls and a boy" Does an...

Re: Any idea where can I get a peppa pig birthday cake?

Hi there, I got ours from Asda online and made the mistake of having it delivered. When it arrived Peppa's eyes were all smudged, looking like she was crying black tears! This was the day before my daughters party and of course, everywhere else had sold out. I managed to tidy it up a bit so as not t...

Child friendly gastro pub recommendations in SW18?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good child friendly gastro pub or restaurant in the SW18 area. It doesn't have to be too swanky, just good food in nice surroundings! We've an extremely energetic 2yr old, so somewhere with a bit of space/things to keep her occupied would b...

My husband just got me a "Secret Envelope" for Valentines!

Hi ladies, I felt compelled to mention this as I received the most wonderful Valentines surprise in the post today - the most beautiful pair of panties in lovely packaging with a romantic little gift card! And...the best thing is I get one of these every month, apparently. My husband has signed me u...

Re: Recommendations for NHS dentist in Earlsfield/Southfields

Hi, We all go to Perfect Smile in Earlsfield and see a dentist called Jig Patel. He is amazing! I've recently had a lot of treatment and not only is he technically fantastic, he's a very nice, gentle chap! I'm a real wimp and he goes out of his way to relax and reassure me all the time, which I thin...

Re: Please help! Took 2 nurofen and maybe pregnant

Thank you for your responses, I am a little calmer now!
Trying to resist the temptation to google anything else on the subject as it's not doing me any favours!

Best wishes to you all.

Please help! Took 2 nurofen and maybe pregnant

Hello ladies, I'm totally freaking out and worrying myself sick as we've just started trying for our 2nd baby and there's a chance we may have conceived over the last few days. Stupidly, I took 2 nurofen last night for a headache and as soon as I swallowed them realised that you shouldn't take them ...
