What weed or plant is this?

Saw these growing at the edge of my grass lawn. Haven't seen these before, and a quick Google search doesn't yield anything familiar in terms of weeds.

Anyone know what they are?

Re: Waitrose Deliveries

How are you getting a delivery slot?

I keep checking a few times a day but only see Unavailable and Fully Booked statuses.

Is there a specific time they release slots?

Plants & Gardening Supplies - Where to find online?

I normally get my garden supplies from Neal's Nurseries or Squires Garden Centre, but both are now closed, and Neal's doesn't do telephone/online orders. Looking to buy some spring/summer plants for my flowerbeds, grass seeds, compost, etc. Nothing exotic, just usual garden supplies you'll find in a...

Re: Builder for kitchen installation and bathroom works

I've used Riga Interiors (owner is Vitaliy) for my last two whole home renovation projects. One was a 2 bedroom flat, the other a 5 bedroom house. Everything - from bathrooms to flooring to decorating to some minor structural works.

They have a website, or ping me for his mobile.

Re: First rate boiler engineer needed: any recommendations?

I've been using Mark Newlove for my boiler needs (servicing, and also replacing a combi boiler), and he might be who you need. Good, knowledgeable, clean and tidy as well.

Tell him Boon referred you, as he's now so busy he tries not to take jobs apart from referrals.

Re: Northern line morning woes / Conservatives campaign / Massive rant!!!

Balham: even during peak hour (8 to 8:30) you can get on the first train 90% of the time. No seats, standing only, and will be squashed, but at least not against the doors, and probably 50% chance of a seat come Stockwell when many get off. Clapham South: 25% chance to get on the first train between...

Re: Is it worth buying Miele?

I have the washer, dryer, and vacuum. Absolutely amazing. Only had it for two years though so not sure of longevity. But beats any washer, dryer, and hoover I have used before.

Other appliances eg ovens, hobs, etc I don't know. I opted for other brands.

Re: Crittall style interior doors/windows

Also don't forget building regs.

Depending on what it is dividing, it might need to be fire rated crittall which is more expensive. Govette can do them. But I remember there was a long lead time from ordering to being ready for install.

Re: Crittall style interior doors/windows

Try Govette Windows.

We had a crittall style wall put in our living room to have a divider without blocking the light.

They were very professional and installation was top notch, and I was very happy with the quality. They were also reasonably priced.

Re: Best type of mattress

The best memory foam are tempur. Been using one for over 8 years.

They do a 100 nights money back guarantee.

They are expensive, but you can pick up at a good discount at their outlet shop in Wembley. They deliver to sw12.

Re: Hotel in New York

Avoid anything one or two blocks away from Times Square! I recommend the Intercontinental Barclay (not the Tes Square one). Really classy, quite new, midtown but quiet ish area. Pricey though. Also recommend Arlo Hotel, if after something more hip and cheaper. Rooms are tiny, choose carefully. It's ...

Small garden - will a grass trimmer / strimmer suffice?

I have a small grass lawn (approx 5x5m, 16x16ft). However, I have a lack of storage space (no external shed or garage) so either would have to store a tool indoors or get a small garden box to house it. Is it worth getting a lawn mower for such a small lawn? I have seen there are garden trimmers / s...

Re: Aeroplane noise between the commons?

I live in the Nightingale Triangle, and haven't noticed any increase in the aeroplane noise, despite keeping windows open pretty much all the time during the day over this summer. Could be the flight paths are more North (towards Clapham Junction, so affecting the between the commons and Northcote R...

Re: Builder Recommendation in Clapham??

I can recommend Riga Interiors, owner is Vitaliy Gromov. Have used them for two properties in the last 9 years. One was a 2 bedroom flat, the other was a 5 bedroom house. Did a great job in both. Everything from minor structural (internal wall removal, structural beam installation) to decorating, co...
