Re: Father removing me from will

I think this is excellent advice and I do see both sides, however, my response was based on the fact he wants to sell the house, downsize and using the money and travel the world which I think should be celebrated!! He is obviously nowhere near the end of his life yet! Are you suggesting outofwill s...

Yes he should travel the world, how amazing for him at this late stage in life!!! My parents are very wealthy but I never covert their hard earned c...

A wonderful nanny!

My WONDERFUL ex nanny Krystyna is looking for a full time or 4 day a week job in the Clapham and Balham area. If anyone needs a nanny I can't recommend her highly enough, she is caring, thoughtful, loving and mature. She adored my daughter and my daughter adored her but unfortunately we moved so can...

Re: Worried about my sons addiction to sucking comfort blank

This is a subject very close to my heart because I am your sons!! I am 33 and I still have my comfort blanket from childhood! If I'm upset or stressed I hold it and it completely calms me down and it was really helpful when I had my babies as it relieved that awful anxiety you get at night just by h...

Re: BIRDHOUSE - WORST customer care I have EVER experienced

A good manager would have apologised to Discodolly, but if he felt his employee was right he should have said nothing to her about the incident or shown his support to her on the matter and everyone would have been happy. Now it has gone this far, the manager could (should in my opinion!!) apologise...

Re: BIRDHOUSE - WORST customer care I have EVER experienced

The owners explanation is barmy!! Yes there are lots of schools in the area, and one 2 mins away, lucky you, lots of mums, lots of kids, lots of coffee and treats sold which pays your salary!! I highly doubt the kids come in droves to use their toilet, the place is miniature and unless you are a reg...

Re: BIRDHOUSE - WORST customer care I have EVER experienced

If Birdhouse think they are to cool for the mummy massive then they have their location very wrong.

If Birdhouse underestimate this close knit community and how word of mouth spreads around here they have their consumer research very wrong.

Equals bye bye Birdie!

Re: How do you deal with another mum who blanks you?

Momtomom you are right that Brits do have networks of friends that start at a young age and continue throughout their life, I have school friends, uni friends and mum friends all nearby. This is simply because England is small!! Even when i meet new people there is often a connection, for example, o...

Re: How do you deal with another mum who blanks you?

I lived in Los Angeles for a while and I too ended up with mainly British expat friends. At a dinner one time an American girl was talking about a German woman who had told her that she would never want to live in America and the whole group was totally shocked, I found this quite amusing as I was c...
