Recommendations for removal companies

Hello Ladies,

I would love some recommendations for good removal companies. I would like them to pack as well. (I have already tried Burke & Wills but they are booked up).

Thanks in advance.

Curtains

Does anyone know of either a good ready made curtain selection which includes blackout linings or a reasonably priced curtain maker?

Thanks in advance.

Cost of a nanny for three?

I am expecting my third and I was wondering how much more (if anything) I will need to pay for a nanny when I return to work. My children will be four (so at school during term time), three (and at pre school during term time) and then somewhere approaching one.

Thanks in advance.

:)

Parenting books recommendations wanted

Hello Ladies, I have never read a parenting book (not sure if this is something I should be admitting). My children are now 2 and 3 years old and I am experiencing the inevitable challenging behaviour, so I thought that it maybe a good time to read a book or two to get some strength and inspiration ...

Re: Recommendation for a good GP near Wimbledon Park

I agree. Southfields Group Practice on Merton Road. They have been great for my little ones and it is very convenient for that end of the grid.

Nanny sought Monday to Thursday in Southfields/Wimbledon Par

Hello, I am looking for a nanny to look after two adorable ( well, I think so!) children aged nearly two years old and three years old. It is a live out Monday to Thursday (40 hours a week) position. Potential nannies should be Ofsted registered and looking to start in early May. I look forward to h...

Balance Bike Recommendations

Good Afternoon, I apologise for raising the C-word (!), but I am thinking about buying my son a Stride pre bike for Christmas. He will be almost 1 1/2 then and they say that they can be used from 1 - 5 years. Has anyone used these bikes for such a young age and would you recommend them or are there ...

Re: Help! baby wipes allergy

Hello there, That is a worrying development. Whilst I agree with the flannel approach we all know that there are times when wipes are necessary. I use, and definitely recommend, naturebotts wipes. I have used them since mine where small with no adverse reactions and they are environmentally friendly...

Re: Toddler art clubs?

Hello, I am just about to try a class called The Creation Station, it is based more towards Wimbledon but that is only a short train ride away and it could meet your requirements. (I can let you know what it is like if you want?) Also, Its A Kidz Thing in Earlsfield does one off classes, you just ne...

Toddlers' wedding outfit recommendations

Hello Ladies, I am looking for inspiration for outfits for my one and two year olds to wear to my sister's wedding in a couple of weeks. I have ordered things from Boden and John Lewis but I do not feel that inspired by them. I have looked at all of the usual suspects (i.e. Trotters, JoJo etc) but I...

Re: Playball

Hello there, My daughter started Playball just after she turned two and it has been fine. I don't think she always follows instructions and has definitely had the odd trantrum but she is two so it is inevitable. I guess that you can only give it a go and see. Hope this helps. I haven't heard of any ...

Re: Holiday suggestions for October

Thank you so much for these great suggestions. My incompetent internet searching had not uncovered such gems. Now we just have to decide where to go (anywhere away from the madness of the last days seems appealing at the moment - v upsetting)...

Re: Holiday suggestions for October

Hello, Thank you so much for that suggestion. We were there last year and thought that it was great, but as there is not that much to do in the local area, I think that we will skip going again this year, however, really do recommend it to others. Having had a re-think, we may brave a flight (for th...
