Re: Fake Doctor Warning

Dilligaf. Honestly! I did email, on the contact given by the clinic, and twice to Westover and called the clinic twice. I am glad it is sorted. Obviously no harm was meant, I never suggested it was. I happen to think it is important though to have safeguards in place for the very rare few who do har...

Re: Pre making powdered milk

SMA do big bottles too.
Also one company, maybe SMA now do bottles of formula with disposable teats. Terrible for the environment, good for 3am.

Re: Pre making powdered milk

I do that too. I think it is probably a legal thing for the manufacturers, safeguarding by putting best practice on the box. If the water is pre-boiled, somewhere cool-ish and in a sterilised bottle, if it's only a few hous old, I personally thnk it is fine....especially at 3am!

Re: Fake Doctor Warning

I tend to agree, but as she works with/for them it's a bit 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. I imagine the only people with editing rights are the clinic's IT people and the practice managers. I just don't understand why with repeated information, they haven't done anything. Certainly I imagine a...

Re: Fake Doctor Warning

Nope, just checked. Still plain as day says consultant psychiatrist. Yet again, I restate that I am sure she is a great nanny, but the profile needs to say she is one. Anyone using the Westover generally goes for MEDICAL help, if the site says your OB/ GYN is a doctor, you assume it is true. I don't...

Re: nanny for two

Sweet! Go for personal recommendations if you can. Don't forget you will also be responsible for the nanny's tax and national insurance, even if she is part time...it all adds up! I can recommend NannyTax. Gumtree ads sometimes yield winners, but you have to be prepared to go through a milliion unsu...

Re: Fake Doctor Warning

Thank you, you summed it up really nicely. At no point did I suggest the original error was deliberate. There has been a deliberate decision not to take it down yet, though, which was my issue, despite repeated asking and repeated checking of credentials to make sure I was right. I don't undestand e...

Re: Elective c-section - 2nd pregnancy

I reckon you should write to them about the nasty midwife too. There are some amazing midwives out there, but one bad one can really upset you at a very vulnerable time, and they need to be aware of that...so much for empathy! It's like the breast-feeding push...yes, it is best, if you can, and heal...

Re: Fake Doctor Warning

Thanks number28, was only concerned as obviously vulnerable people could be involved, and kids. Did feel a bit 'jumped on' as everyone rallies around if someone reports even a suspected stranger danger, but seems to defend someone claiming to be a doctor, even if only by unrectified mistake. Just to ...

Re: Good, cheap haircut?

Headmasters is open late and have a stand by option. I am in the same boat and use them. You ring in the morning or afternoon and ask if they have any stand-bys. Even if the cut is with a senior stylist they still only charge £25. The only problem is you can't choose your hairdresser and you have le...
