Re: Replacement outdoor victorian wall tiles

Hi - try Stone Zone in Earlsfield - not the most user friendly place but if you speak to them I'm sure they'll be able to order them in. We used them when we tiled our hallway with the same victorian pattern as our outside path.

Hope that helps

Re: Good local massage

Try lovely Rose - she used to work at Siam on Lavendar Hill, now freelances and does an amazing Thai massage in the comfort of your own home for reasonable prices (a single one-hour massage costs £45, two hours £85). I wish I had the time to book her more often. Conatct Rose directly to book a massa...

Re: Best local restaurant for steak?

It's Le Bouchon in Spitalfields (which was rubbish) which is in liquidation, and not Le Bouchon on Battersea Rise.

Re: KFH - Avoid!

We also had a very bad experience with KFH whilst selling our flat and would never use them again. I believe they only ever act in their own best interests in order to earn the most comission! Essentially you're just stock for their books. We bought our house from Marsh & Parsons who seemed reas...

Re: Good curtain maker to recommend?

We recently used Lou Oliver (lou_olivier@hotmail.com) to make a set of full length double pinch pleat and black out lined curtains for our master bedroom. She did an excellent and quick job. Lou comes with the added bonus that her husband is very capable and sourced and fitted the pole track and boa...

Re: 'All About the Girl' - Shall we open on a Sunday?

I would definitely advocate Sunday opening: I work full time city hours Monday to Friday and so have to fit beauty treats where possible at the weekend and it can be very frustrating that currently only Neals Yard (which isn't exactly a manicure destination!) is open on Sunday. I think there would b...

Re: Gentleman and van - would you recommend?

I think you should use them, they're great! We've used them a couple of times, including when we moved our furniture back into our newly renovated home when I was sure I would cry if they marked the walls; luckily for them, they didn't! Also recommended them to my boss who used them and loved them t...

Re: Need someone to fix our microwave and oven?

I inherited a SMEG over when we bought our house. The lights didn't work and the temperature guage was way off. Had it mended a couple of days before Christmas by an engineer from "Academy Engineering" who's a SMEG approved company: http://www.academyeng.com/ 02085052991 Oven all tickety b...

Re: Coving / Cornicing

I would also recommend the Classic Cornice company and my builder Affleck is putting it up for us (currently without issue).

It's not as cheap as anything available at B&Q etc but the quality is amazing and they have a great choice but at the same time are more affordable than Miles and Wilde

Re: Cake help needed for daughter with egg allergy!

Hi, I have an egg, dairy and gluten allergy but love baking. You can buy egg replacer from Whole Foods on Lavender Hill which means you can bake as per normal but use this product instead of eggs... says how to use it on the packet

Hope this helps
