Re: Inside the Wandsworth apartment on sale for £13 million

I think you mean square metres! 1040 square feet would mean all the bedrooms would pretty much literally be the size of a shoebox!

Re: can i take my family overseas away from elderly grandparents?

I lived in New York for two years as an accompanying wife (actually I was a girlfriend at the time) and although I couldn't work and gave up my career, I loved it. It was like being on holiday for two years. Admittedly we didn't have kids at the time, but in a way that would help you to make friends...

Re: Community Editor Review: The CookOut - fine dining delivered to your door

Thanks for your reply, and I'm glad to see you're listening! The thing with vegetarian food is so many restaurants think risotto or pasta is acceptable as a main vegetarian course. If I'm going to a nice restaurant I really expect to have something more creative than that. Any decent chef should be ...

Re: are carpets a no go with children?

Hard floors are much easier to clean so they are much better for allergy sufferers. I'm not quite sure what Samantha was talking about. I wouldn't recommend tiles with young children as they are extremely hard and they look awful too (except in the kitchen and hallway). Wooden floors have more give ...

Re: Finton House

My kids don't go there but I live quite near there and the roads are a nightmare at that time. You would be better off parking on the far side of Wandsworth Common and walking across. It would probably be quicker too.

Re: Community Editor Review: The CookOut - fine dining delivered to your door

This is a great idea but we won't be using it as the vegetarian/vegan offerings are woeful. Why haven't they woken up to the fact that not everyone wants to eat meat or fish all the time? The problem is, they put a mushroom risotto on the menu and then no one orders it so they assume people don't wa...

Re: Non mint toothpaste for 8 year old

Also there’s a brand called Punch and Judy who make a kids strawberry flavoured one (and also a tutti frutti one) with fluoride. You can get it on Amazon. I remember Punch and Judy toothpaste from when I was a kid - amazed it’s still going.

Re: Non mint toothpaste for 8 year old

Kingfisher make a fennel flavoured toothpaste with fluoride (they also do one without fluoride so make sure you get the correct one.)

Re: Dogs yapping driving me mad.

Could you perhaps offer your help with the dogs? Maybe they are driven crazy by not getting more exercise. Could you perhaps offer to walk them when you take your exercise walk? Even if it’s declined at least you are trying to be constructive and may elicit more sympathy. Yapping dogs are incredibly...

Re: Cvirus

I had no idea this was happening. I hardly ever watch live TV and I didn’t think kids did either. Don’t they all watch YouTube these days? No one is buying anything so it’s not surprising that companies aren’t advertising at the moment and that’s probably why there are so many of these ads. If you f...

Re: Park incident

I’m a bit worried about your mental health if you found that incident “traumatic”! The woman was probably concerned for your child and momentarily forgot that we are supposed to be keeping our distance (easily done when you are thinking of something else). She touched your child’s face and in doing ...

Re: Help incredibly noisy kids behind me and to the side of me

Really Ron that’s a horrible thing to suggest. Keeping young kids confined all day is just cruel and I’m afraid the OP just comes across as a grumpy old killjoy. If you don’t like the sound of children playing then you really should have moved to the country years ago. If you can’t afford to move no...

Re: Need my B12 injection but GP closed for Covid 19

Have you tried your pharmacist? If that doesn’t work can you get a prescription from your GP and get the dose yourself? It’s really not difficult to self-inject. You don’t need a nurse to do it. In the first instance I would speak to your local pharmacy.

Re: Fox nuisance in garden

There’s an organisation called Urban Fox Defenders who will help you with any foxes that are causing a nuisance. They love foxes so won’t hurt them.

They don’t seem to have a website but are on Facebook - is you google them their Facebook page will turn up.
