Re: Good GP surgery in Earlsfield

I use Garratt Lane Medical Centre which is opposite Sainsburys in Wandworth. They are very good and have late evening appointments too.

Re: Pregnant nanny

Hi There, I was nannying and got pregnant but i was already a live out nanny so it was different. Unfortunately if you decide to live out then yes she can ask you to leave as she requires a live in position and you can no longer provide that for her. If you decide to stay in the position until you g...

Re: Reasonably priced cheese

Costco - you need to be a member but its pretty easy to become one and costs very little. Or if you know anyone who is then see if they will take you. I buy my cheese for every occassion there its very good reasonably priced and you can get whole cheeses. They are a very good bulk buy store if your ...

Re: Recommended removal firm?

I move in April and had quotes from Burke and Willis and Bushells. Have to say Burke and Willis were quite expensive so went with Bushells who were £1,000 cheaper. They were fantastic dismantled beds and put them back together, collected stuff from my storage company. I would highly recommend them t...

Re: Nanny might be pregnant - can I ask?

I am a nanny and had a baby in May last year. I actually told my employers when i was about 8 weeks pregnant as i was very sick with it. Nannys get the same as everyone else, they have to tell you after 12 weeks and they get maternity pay. 6 weeks at 90% of salary and then the government maternity p...

Re: Best gift for a friend with her first baby

The best present i got when i came home from hospital was 2 weeks of frozen meals delivered to my door so no cooking to be done. Was a fantastic idea and they came from a company called Chef on Board.

Re: Entertaining a 9-month old boy!

There's Boogie Babies at Its a Kids Thing in Earlsfield. Its on Tuesdays at 245pm you need to book i think but you can don't have to book a course just go when you can.
There are also loads of one o'clock clubs around think you can find these out through thecouncil website.

Re: parking

The 1 hour parking permits are given to the householder when they get the yearly permit. So you need to ask your daughter / son if they have any. They should get 10 free ones a year with the yearly permit if they haven't they should ring the council and they will be sent out.
Hope that helps.

Re: Good removal company

I've just had Aussie , Man and Van round for a quote. In my opinion they would be fine for a small move but not a big move. I am in a flat and they will need two vans to move us. Also had Burke and Willis round and they seem alot more professional.

Re: Good removal company

I'm hoping that Aussie man and van are good as i am just about to move aswell and thought i would use them as they seem very reasonable. Would be really interested if anyone has used them and if so what they thought.
Good Luck with your move.
