Hello. Does she have grey flecks? If so, I may know where she is from.

Re: Private neurosurgeon?

Hello I think that it depends on the surgery required. I had to have emergency surgery after I had my baby a few years ago. I was transferred to Charing Cross hospital initially under Mr Peterson (per the previous post) and then Mr Nair as I had to have more invasive surgery. Mr Nair was absolutely ...

Re: Buying freehold from Wandsworth Borough

Hello. We paid £20k for the freehold for the undemised loft space in our flat in Balham from Wandsworth council. Overall we paid a significant amount for the freehold but our lease was short <75 years. We purchased the freehold approx 6 months ago. Hope that helps!

Re: MIL

You answered the question yourself - your daughter is not ready and neither are you! There is no right or wrong way regards family - some people like a huge extended family being involved regularly with bringing up their children while others like to do their own thing and see their extended family ...

Re: Awaiting miscarriage any advice?

Hello. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I had a miscarriage a couple of years ago at 8 weeks. It was a blighted ovum too and it hadn't grown beyond 5 weeks. I went to St George's and was told to come back in 2 weeks to re-assess and maybe have a D&C if I wanted to. In the 2 weeks I ...

Re: Are there rules for charity door collections?

Is the charity something like 'Save a Child'? They have come to our house the last few years and I did check them out as they looked a bit dodgy. From what i recall the charity existed but maybe not in this country. I also saw a policeman talking to one of the 'charity collectors' a few years ago so...

Re: Drop in dance class

Wessez house have some great drop in Zumba classes run by Lindsay Jay (Lindsayjay.co.uk). They are really good value too (my classes are £7).

Also think some drop-in classes are held at the Battersea Arts Centre.

See you there!

Re: Is Mouse House a good nursery?

I never normally post but I feel I have to comment again. I have had 3 children at Mousehouse and none have gone to 'top prep schools'. Just the local state school. In fact the headmistress last year seemed pretty balanced in her view of all the local schools both state and private and her view was ...

Re: Is Mouse House a good nursery?

Hello. I don't normally post - am a bit of a lurker but felt I had to comment after the second reply! I have had 3 children at mousehouse/hole and have generally found it to be really good nursery. My oldest is now at one of the local state schools and have found that she started there ahead of her ...

Re: Sports class wanted for 3 yr old girl, recommendations?

Another thumbs up for Little Gym. My 4 year old has tried Little Kickers, Ballet (Vacani and Fancyfootwork),Tumble Tots and Playball and enjoyed them all. However it is Little Gym that she absolutely loves. It is expensive but it is because it run by proper gymnastic instructors unlike say Tumble To...
