Re: My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

No one is saying anything about it not being but why try and belittle something that means nothing to you but a lot to someone else. Why are you even on here - if you had even read the comments and had an ounce of sensitivity you would understand that what you’re commenting is such a waste of time.

Re: My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

Hi @rsmith13 I’m sorry you’ve had to experience this. It is a really traumatic situation - ignore the idiot who replied about climate change (why even reply if you’re not being helpful?!). It took a while and a lot of talks for my mum and I to get back to “normal” and it definitely changed our relat...

Re: My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

I've just had an email from my father telling me off for something I said to my mother after I saw she cut my daughters hair. I don't even remember what I said but he has called me shameful and utterly disgraceful. I actually can't believe this nightmare I'm in now. I said if she is that brave and g...

Re: My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

Yes, we've become really close recently because we now live near each other. I just can't understand what drove her to pick up the scissors and actually cut her hair. Knowing I would be upset too. And my older daughter just said she tried to cut her hair as well but she said no.

My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

My daughter is 2 yrs 2 months and has (had) lovely curly hair, sunkissed on the ends and one long ringlet at the back which I just loved. I haven't wanted to cut her hair because it looks cute and I love the length it is (or was..). Today my husband and I left our daughters with my parents for 2 hou...

Re: looking for a recommendation for a broker

My husband has his own company and we changed our broker to Jamie Chapman who works at CMG advisors. jchapman@cmgadvice.co.uk
He got us a great deal when we moved house, better than anyone else could have, he basically opened up options which our previous advisor couldn't do.

Re: Emotional affairs - all bad?

I would also agree that this is harmless so long as it stays in your head, but just be careful. I'm a stay at home mum so my escapisms/fantasies have been with actors on the TV, one in particular (Joshua Jackson/Cole/The Affair) which I'm very open about to my husband. However when he saw I tweeted ...

Re: Passport

We just received a text message that her passport is on its way to us! Phew! Thank you everyone for replying, I was really freaking out on Monday and was a bit upset that maybe she and I wouldn't go on holiday with my husband and other daughter. Super quick turn around as well from the passport offi...

Passport

Hi, does anyone have any recent experience with the passport office, mainly how long it took to get your child's first passport? I'm sending my baby's off today once I've done the Post Office's check and send service so hoping it won't take too long. I'm just feeling sick and anxious about it as we ...

Re: C-Section or Natural?

If you opt for a natural birth then get the epi-no and do perineal massage, I did both and didn't tear for either baby. It's also very important to choose the right midwife, I believe that they play a major role in how your natural birth plays out. I know it's hard to choose one but if you don't fee...

Re: C-Section or Natural?

Read the book Hypnobirthing and also Natal Hynotherapy and then make a decision. Also try pregnancy yoga as it will get your mind and body ready for labour.

Re: Worries about creepy sleepover family

IMO (and it's irrelevant as my eldest is only 3!) but I think 7 is too young for sleepovers so in that light I would say to the mother that you are worried she is growing up too fast and you are limiting the amount of sleepovers she has. You could say you don't want her exposed to certain things and...
