Re: Penhaligons

Waltzer that’s a great idea, I also actually need some more hand cream…
Thanks Starr, I’m the same. I don’t spend loads on other products so why not?
Thanks both!

Penhaligons

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone uses any of the fragrances from Penhaligons and if you think they’re worth the money? Went in there recently and loved the smells but not the prices so need to be convinced it’s worth it!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Knee consultant / surgeon

Sam Rajaratnam also works at The Horder Centre in Crowborough. As do Per Anderberg, Andrew Skyrme and Andrew Armitage - all fantastic knee surgeons/consultants. Their physiotherapists are also second to none. I know it’s a bit further afield but definitely worth the journey. Good luck! https://horde...

Re: Ski prep classes

Hi, Have a look at this link to a youtube video for leg strengthening. It's run by a group of 3 American physios (all have doctorates) called The Prehab Guys. They're excellent, safe and if you have a google of them and peruse their website or youtube channel, you'll see that they ensure everything ...

Re: Split of responsibilities with your partner

dhcwong - that sounds perfect! I'm incredibly envious of how organised you are. Would that my brain could only begin to think like yours... :)

Chorister - I always thought you were a woman!

Anyway, nothing more helpful to add, sorry.

Re: Daughter's best friend and family quite religious and she is asking why we don't pray

My mother found God a few years ago and we went to her baptism. At the time the kids were 7,9 & 11. We watched her getting dunked and the kids were a bit bored (although they found the dunking hilarious/scary as a lot of the other dunkees were resisting it and had to be forced underwater by the ...

Re: Taking the children on an extended holiday

What cuqui said. Also, kids are massively adaptable and yes, 6 weeks is far longer through the eyes of a 4yo than an adult, but he'll be coming back into the school routine, they adjust really quickly and he'll always have that connection to your motherland. I completely see your husband's point of ...

Re: Jacuzzi in garden - good idea or not?

Sorry, I should have made it clearer - that was our bill from October to March (normally a fraction of that, and obviously before the price hikes in April). We had a really good filter (apparently) and it was as insulated as a stand-alone hot tub can be.

Still a huge expense though.

Re: Jacuzzi in garden - good idea or not?

My partner bought a 2nd hand wooden one off eBay. It was a great price and he loved it. I had never wanted one but he'd wanted one for ages so I gave him the go ahead.  The kids loved it for about 5 mins, I went in a couple of times but was bored, it was extremely noisy and I felt as though I was si...

Re: 8 year old boy - lying behaviour

Hi,

I don't have anything helpful to add, sorry. I just wanted to say that I hope you find the support you need and help for your son. It's obviously a very stressful situation and I wish you and the family all the best.

Re: Activities for a bunch of 13 year old girls

Hi misty32, that's a great suggestion, thank you but she went there recently with a friend for her friend's birthday! It feels really hard this time to think of something to do. I know it's first world problems and we feel incredibly lucky to be in this situation... Thanks for taking the time to rep...
