I dont know the nursery sorry but most nursery pre-schools run either a three hour morning or afternoon slot with some of the older children maybe doing one or two fuller days before they start school. Day care is obviously different.

Its whatever you agree before... we agreed I think £7.50 per hour and then had a 24 hour rate as well with also the option of having a day in lieu and a bit of extra cash.

Really depends on the standard of the live in and also what you have agreed in the contract....If you havent then PM me

I have to second Annabel on Likeminders who have always been so helpful and had really good nannies ....Its also the benefit that the children are in your house so its less out of their comfort zone and if they have playgroups etc on that day the nanny could take them to it too...

Toddler throwing things...

My toddler has started to throw things. The problem is he's pretty good at it and toys some which are pretty heavy and hard are flying left right and centre as he practises his overarm spin. If he does it I say no and remove the toy but this doesnt seem to be having much of an effect does anybody ha...

Have you considered vacinating your child? You do two jabs one month apart (you should just have time) and then no chicken pox.... You have to pay for it. At our NHS GP it was about £50 but worth not having the problems of chicken pox...
