Upholstery recommendations sought

Hi everyone Can anyone recommend a good upholsterer to re-cover a sofa and armchair that are otherwise in pretty good structural nick (if you ignore the legacy of two small children)? It's not something you do every day so it would be great to work with someone who has done a good job for someone el...

Re: Keeping nanny whilst on maternity leave

WE did this, I loved it. I was able to treat baby number 2 as a bit of a first born child and give her lots of attention, knowing that lovely nanny was doing same with our first child. Good advice to line up plans for your days, and to be honest good advice too to sometimes let her take the load off...

Hotel or base near London for a families group meet up - advice please!

We are planning a reunion of our little NCT gang this Easter, how fun to see fat little legs and happy little nippers (and that's just the mums :)). Best london gynae / cancer NHS site

I had a bit of a stressy chat with my gp yesterday, and am being fast tracked for a gynae consult to rule out cervical cancer. Of course the best outcome is that this is a storm in a teacup, but - just in case - I want to be in the best place if things don't go so well. I have been offered Thomas's ...

Refresher driving lessons

Hi all I have my licence, but haven't driven since I wrote off my car a few years ago while I was living elsewhere in the UK. I have never driven in London, and never driven a car as big as the one we own now (not that we have a beast but my previous runaround was a Clio :)). Add to that the truth t...
